Morgan Stanley analyst Glenn Fodor said in a report that this deal might be "mixed to negative" for PayPal, as the future of the relationship between Starbucks and PayPal remains murky. "This could have been a great partnership for PayPal/PayPal Here," he wrote.
Shares of eBay closed down 1.47% to $44.94 on Wednesday.
