Alcoa, Bank of America: Dow Movers
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- U.S. stocks finished Wednesday mixed following disappointing private-sector jobs data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 10.59 points, or 0.08%, to 13,268.73 on Wednesday. The S&P 500 dropped 3.51 points to 1,402.31 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 9.41 points to 3,059.85.
Breadth within the Dow was negative with 16 of the index's 30 components posting losses.
The biggest percentage decliners in the index were Alcoa(AA) , Bank of America(BAC) and JPMorgan Chase(JPM) .

Shares of Alcoa fell 2.56% to $9.72.
The stock took a hit following a report that a joint venture with Alumina is slated to produce less alumina than previously anticipated. Bloomberg said the venture is expected to produce 15.5 million metric tons of alumina, down from a previous estimate of 15.7 million metric tons, because of weak demand.
Bank of America shares lost 1.81% to $8.16.
Bank of America is cutting 2,000 jobs in three of its divisions.
Shares of JPMorgan fell 1.35% to $43.20.
Both JPMorgan and Bank of America are potentially facing downgrades of their credit ratings by Moody's(MCO) .
