U.S. Adds 162,000 Jobs in July

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The U.S. work force added 162,000 jobs in July, the Labor Department said Friday.

The unemployment rate fell to 7.4% from 7.6% the previous month.

Payrolls were expected by economists to have risen by 184,000 jobs in July, according to a Reuters survey of economists, The unemployment rate was forecast to fall to 7.5% from 7.6%.
