NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Apple's(AAPL) Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) stole the show this week, as fanboys eagerly awaited the tech giant's latest product announcement.

Apple's developers conference didn't have the excitement of an iPad or iPhone event, but the Cupertino, Calif.-based company still put on a great show, releasing several new Macs, a new mobile operating system, and perhaps a glimpse into the company's future in mobile payments.

The refresh of Apple's MacBook Pro line was one of the key WWDC announcements.

The new MacBook Pro features Retina Display, something the iPhone and iPad have. It also sports updated processors, using Intel's(INTC) Ivy Bridge and Nvidia(NVDA) graphics technology. Many are calling this a huge step forward for the line. "It's the most beautiful computer we've ever made," said Apple senior vice president Phil Schiller during the keynote address.
