Nokia, Microsoft, Facebook: Tech Premarket
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Nokia(NOK) shares climbed 2.55% to $2.41 in premarket trading on Friday, enjoying a modest rebound as investors digested the company's restructuring plan.
Shares of Nokia tanked 15.77% on Thursday after the embattled handset maker announced 10,000 job cuts as part of wide-ranging strategic overhaul.
Microsoft(MSFT) shares crept up 0.27% to $29.42 before market open on Friday amid chatter that the software giant may be acquiring enterprise social network Yammer.
Citing a person familiar with the deal, The Wall Street Journal reported that Yammer has agreed to sell itself to Microsoft for $1.2 billion.
Neither Microsoft nor Yammer has yet responded to TheStreet's request for comment on this story.
Facebook(FB) was one of the most active Nasdaq stocks in premarket trading, rising 0.64% to $28.47 on share volume of 109,899.
