Casinos, Hollywood Headline Super PAC Contributions
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Donors from glitzy backgrounds topped the latest round of Super PAC donations.
Las Vegas Sands(LVS) CEO Sheldon Adelson and movie star Morgan Freeman were among seven individuals who contributed $1 million or more in June to the biggest Super PACs that support Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
Adelson donated $5 million to the Restore Our Future Super PAC that backs Romney, while Freeman sent $1 million to the Priorities USA Action PAC that supports Obama, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Adelson's wife, Miriam, also donated $5 million to the Romney PAC bringing brought her total donations to various candidates and committees for the 2012 election cycle to about $22.1 million.
Adelson has given about $13.8 million of his own money, while Freeman had previously donated just $4,400 to candidates -- $2,300 to Obama in 2007 and $2,100 to former Congress hopeful Nikki Tinker in 2005.
Included among the remaining millionaire donors to Restore Our Future were John Childs ($1 million), chief executive of J.W. Childs Associates in Vero Beach, Fla., and mega-donor William Koch's Oxbow Carbon ($1 million).
In addition to Freeman, Priorities USA Action's largest donations came from Qualcomm(QCOM) co-founder Irwin Mark Jacobs ($2 million) and media mogul Fred Eychaner ($1 million).
Restore Our Future reported total receipts of $82.2 million through June, while Priorities USA Action disclosed total receipts of $20.7 million.
