The Red Rock Grill & Bar on West Main Street was granted its first entertainment license Tuesday night at a hearing with the Board of Selectmen.

Selectmen unanimously approved the license, which allows the bar, located at 66 W. Main St., to offer live outdoor music on Fridays and Saturdays, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

During the hearing, owner Sherry Berger said she and her husband, Russ, have always wanted to offer outdoor entertainment, as the interior of the restaurant is too small to accommodate it.

Before voting, Chairman Bob Fleming said the Bergers have been responsible in managing the bar, and that he was confident the music would not disrupt neighbors.

“(The bar) has actually enhanced the town. I respect your ability to determine what would be offensive,” he said.
