NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Stock futures were pointing to a lower open on Wall Street Tuesday ahead of the release of U.S. existing home sales data.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were falling 30 points, 24.5 points below fair value, at 12,460. Futures for the S&P 500 were down 3 points, or 1.4 points below fair value, at 1313. Futures for the Nasdaq were slipping 6.7 points, or 7.4 points below fair value, at 2537.

The major U.S. stock indices all gained more than 1% Monday, rebounding from their worst weekly performance of 2012, as international leaders took steps to calm fears about the future of the euro.
