NCDC's Executive Director Robert Mills left listens as NCDC's Senior Economic Development Associate Jason Vincent talks to the media about the RFP of the Norwich City owned Reid & Hughes building at 193-201 Main Street in downtown Norwich.
Over the next five months, officials with the city's economic development arm will reach out to more than 100 developers across five states to gauge interest in rehabilitating downtown Norwich's Reid & Hughes building.
Norwich Community Development Corporation held a Franklin Square press conference Monday afternoon to discuss details of its plan, which includes a heavy social media element and information the up to $1.14 million in incentives being offered by city leaders to help bring the project to life.
Responses to the RFP are due back on Jan. 10, and officials hope to launch development agreement talks in February.
