Norwich/NL foreclosure rate down in December
The Norwich/New London area foreclosure rate declined to 4.24 percent in December compared with 4.26 percent in November and 4.34 percent a year earlier, CoreLogic reported Tuesday.
The region’s 90-day-plus delinquency rate rose to 7.54 percent in December from 7.43 percent in November and 7.36 percent a year prior.
Connecticut’s statewide foreclosure rate dropped to 4.18 percent in December from 4.20 percent a year ago but was up from 4.17 percent in November while the 90-day-plus delinquency rate climbed to 7.46 percent in December from 7.39 percent in November and 7.30 percent a year ago.
National rates continued to decline with foreclosures going to 2.96 percent in December from 2.97 percent in November and 3.43 percent a year ago and 90-day-plus delinquencies down to 6.40 percent in December from 6.45 percent in November and 7.28 percent in December 2011, CoreLogic reported.
