Pfizer, Chevron, United Technologies: Dow Midday Movers
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 23.5 points to 13,008.19. It reached the 13,000 mark for the second time this week.
Shares of Chevron rose 87 cents to $109.22. The energy company has started looking for shale gas in China and it expects to open a natural gas processing plant there next year, according to Bloomberg.
TheStreet Ratings gives Chevron an A grade with a buy rating and a $138.98 price target.
United Technologies shares increased 81 cents to $84.30. The industrial company is reducing the amount of stock it will issue to finance the $16.4 billion acquisition of Goodrich(GR) . It also raised profit guidance for 2012, including the purchase of Goodrich.
United Technologies gets a B+ grade from TheStreet Ratings with a buy rating and a $96.12 price target.
Shares of Pfizer rose 1.38% to $21.32. TheStreet Ratings gives Pfizer an A- grade with a buy rating and a $26.30 price target.
The biggest decliner in the index midday Friday was Hewlett-Packard(HPQ) . The shares fell 1.27% to $26.70.
HP was the biggest decliner in the Dow on Thursday, falling 6.53% to close at $27.05. The PC and printer manufacturer issued a weak outlook for its current quarter.
TheStreet Ratings gives HP a C grade and a hold rating.
