Facebook Home Event: Live Blog Recap

Facebook Home will come on several different phones, the first being HTC First, which is available April 12 at AT&T
Home is designed to keep you up to date on the people around you, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during the presentation. "We think this is the best version of Facebook there is," he said. Home was designed to have smartphones, which Zuckerberg noted users check around 100 times a day, be around people, instead of apps.
Facebook Home was designed to be the best experience of any phone: Chat Heads, which allows users to connect with friends via chats or sending articles; notifications allows users to see critical updates that are important to them. Currently, there are no ads on the first version of Facebook Home, but eventually there will be, Zuckerberg noted.
During the question-and-answer session, Zuckerberg said Facebook still has a great relationship with Apple
Facebook shares were jumping after the event, gaining 3.31% to $27.12.
