Direct Air will begin its fourth season of service to Myrtle Beach, S.C. on May 24, Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport has announced.
Twice-weekly flights will depart Springfield at 2 p.m. on Thursday with arrival at 4:45 p.m. in Myrtle Beach, and 8 p.m. on Sunday with arrival at 10:45 p.m. Return flights leave at 12:30 p.m. Thursday with arrival in Springfield at 1:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday with arrival at 7:15 p.m.. All times are local.
Flights are on 150-seat jets.
Nearly 6,300 passengers took the flight during the 2011 season, an increase of 25 percent from 2010, according to the airport.
