Cost Plus
The casual home furnishings retailer reached a deal to be acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY) for $22 a share in cash, or about $500 million.
"We do not believe Bed Bath & Beyond intends to re-brand stores for either company, and instead believe Cost Plus will continue to pursue its expansion plans of opening new stores under the Cost Plus banner," Wedbush analysts wrote in a report Thursday.
Shares of Cost Plus hit a 52-week high of $21.97. The stock's 52-week low of $5.57 was set on Oct. 4.
Cost Plus trades at an estimated price-to-earnings ratio for next year of 17.14 times; the average for specialty retailers is 15.22.
Four of the seven analysts who cover Cost Plus rated it hold. Two analysts gave the stock a buy rating and one rated it sell.
The stock has risen 125.13% year to date.
