Apple Roundup: MacBook Pro, iPad Mini, Steve Jobs

Tickers in this article: AAPL

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The top Apple(AAPL) stories from around the Web include iPad Mini drawings, the wait time for the MacBook Pro is getting better, and Steve Jobs' widow might be attending a high-powered conference

As the iPad Mini rumors continue to circulate around the Web, it was only a matter of time before someone leaked the spec sheet, and the world got a look at Apple's latest tablet offering.

The iPad Mini will reportedly be 7.87-inches tall and 5.3-inches wide, much smaller than the new iPad. It will also be much thinner, just 7.4 millimeters in thickness, slightly thicker than the iPod touch.

Apple could not be immediately reached for comment on this story.

Apple announced a refresh to its MacBook Pro at its Worldwide Developer Conference last month, and the wait time for the laptop has been staggering. Consumers have been known to wait 3-4 weeks for their order.

The logjam appears to be loosening a bit though with customers now seeing an estimated shipping time of 2-3 weeks.

Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, is in the news on Friday as she is reportedly buying a home in Sun Valley, Idaho, near the annual Allen & Company retreat.

Powell Jobs will reportedly attend the conference as well, which is set to end tomorrow.

"The house, on the border with nearby Ketchum, Idaho, is said to be a small double A-frame home valued between $3 million and $4 million," The NY Post claimed in its report.

Shares of Apple are higher on Friday, up 0.63% to $602.69.
