U.S. Adds 169,000 Jobs in August
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The U.S. work force added 169,000 jobs in August, the Labor Department said Friday.
The unemployment rate fell to 7.3% from 7.4% the previous month.
Payrolls were expected by economists to have risen by 180,000 jobs in August, according to a Reuters survey of economists. The unemployment rate was forecast to remain at 7.4%.
