ASTON — Parents and guardians are invited to attend “Don’t be an Ostrich,” a panel discussion about teenage substance abuse and how to prevent it, 7 p.m., Feb. 12 in the Sun Valley High School auditorium, 2881 Pancoast Ave.

The program will be presented by Debra Delp, an addiction counselor, certified nurse and mother who has spoken to congress, appeared on many local and national talk shows, including the Oprah Winfrey Show. “Don’t Be an Ostrich” is an awareness program for parents designed to explain the signs, symptoms and red flags that your child may be using drugs and/or alcohol.
