Chrysler's March Car Sales Rise 34%, Best Since 2008
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Chrysler's U.S. car sales in March rose 34% from last year to 163,381 vehicles, the best monthly sales figure for the automaker since 2008.
The company's Fiat brand led the way with 3,712 cars sold, a 642% increase. Chrysler brand car sales rose 70% from last year to 34,726; Jeep brand sales gained 36% to 45,124 cars; and Dodge brand sales increased 18% to 52,076 cars.
March is the 24th consecutive month that Chrysler's sales have increased and the 10th consecutive month that sales have risen more than 20%.
