Cianflone & Cianflone presented with award
The Massachusetts Justice Project and Community Legal Aid have presented the Pittsfield law firm of Cianflone & Cianflone Inc. with the Deborah L. Marchand, Esq. Pro Bono Publico Award for 2013.
The award was given for the firm's dedication and commitment in providing access to justice for low-income individuals.
MJP is a federally funded Legal Services Corporation provider of the free intake and hotline services for eligible clients in the central and western Massachusetts counties of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester.
BCC offering no-cost training at McCann
Berkshire Community College is offering no cost advanced manufacturing training at the McCann Technical School. The non-credit 100 hour program, which is being offered in collaboration with McCann, will be taught by McCann faculty and four local manufacturing professionals.
The program will cover: computer numerical control (CNC), mill and lathe training, math blueprint reading, measuring, a 10-hour OSHA course, work readiness and career search skills.
The 10-week program will be offered from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. An official start date will be announced following participant sign-up.

Zonta Club to discuss domestic violence
The Zonta Club of Berkshire County will meet on Tuesday at Mazzeo's Ristorante, 1015 South St.
The club will present a video public service announcement with the goal of raising awareness of domestic violence. The announcement promotes the "Zonta Says No" campaign launched by Zonta International.
The event starts at 5 p.m. Networking will take place until 5:30, followed by the business meeting, then dinner.
