Nvidia, Apple, TI: Tech Premarket

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Nvidia(NVDA) was a winner in premarket trading on Tuesday as investors responded to news that Apple(AAPL) has revamped its MacBook Air with the chipmaker's graphics technology.

Nvidia shares rose 0.73% to $12.35 before market open.

On Monday, UBS also upgraded Nvidia to buy from hold, citing a positive risk-reward and an emerging lead role for the company in the push to deploy Microsoft(MSFT) Windows on ARM's(ARMH) chip technology.

Shares of Apple, which kicked off its Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco on Monday, crept up 0.36% to $573.24 before market open.

Apple was also one of the most active Nasdaq stocks in premarket trading on share volume of 93,815.

Texas Instruments'(TXN) stock rose 0.25% to $27.72 in premarket trading after the chip specialist raised the low end of its guidance late on Monday.
