HAMILTON -- Bensi Ristorante Italiano is the latest eatery to call it quits at the faltering Shoppes at Hamilton on northbound Route 130.
A restaurant called Asian Fusion and a Nathan’s Famous hot dog shop already have pulled out of the complex, which is on northbound 130 just south of Klockner Road.
Two weeks ago, township officials said a deal was in the works to put the shopping center into the hands of a developer willing to sink $1 million into building a turn lane and traffic signals to provide access to southbound 130 traffic.
Now southbound cars have to pass the shopping center and angle off 130 at Route 156 and a mile later turn left onto to Route 524 to cross over Route 130 and ramp down to the northbound lanes.
