NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- U.S. stock futures were pointing to a higher open Thursday ahead of reports that are expected to show a rise in durable goods orders and steady jobless claims.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were rising 52 points, or 42.9 points above fair value, at 12,518. Futures for the S&P 500 were up 7.3 points, or 6 points above fair value, at 1323. Futures for the Nasdaq were rising 13.8 points, or 8.3 points above fair value, at 2554.

U.S. stocks staged a mighty comeback in the final hour of trading Wednesday as a message from European leaders in support of Greece assuaged investor fears that the country is on a path to exit the eurozone.
