U.S. Nonfarm Payrolls Rise 115,000

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The U.S. work force added 115,000 jobs in April; the unemployment rate was 8.1%, the Labor Department said Friday.
Economists were calling for nonfarm payrolls to have risen by 162,000 last month, according to Briefing.com. The unemployment rate was seen at 8.2%.
