U.S. Adds 165,000 Jobs in April
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The U.S. work force added 165,000 jobs in April, the Labor Department said Friday.
The unemployment rate fell to 7.5% from 7.6% the previous month.
Payrolls were expected by economists to have risen by 145,000 jobs in April, according to a Reuters survey of economists, up from March's nine-month low of 88,000. The unemployment rate was forecast to remain at 7.6%.
